En français, on divise les verbes en 3 groupes. Les verbes du premier groupe se terminent en « -er ». Ce sont les verbes les plus nombreux en français : travailler, marcher, manger, jouer…
Attention, il y a une exception : “aller” se termine en -er, mais il est irrégulier (je vais, tu vas, il/elle/on va…), il appartient donc au troisième groupe.
Comment conjuger les verbes du 1er groupe au présent de l’indicatif ?
Conjuguons le verbe “chanter!”.
Etape 1 : On retire le « -er » pour obtenir la racine du verbe : « chant-« .
Etape 2 : On ajoute les terminaisons : « -e », « -es », « -e », « -ons », « -ez », « -ent ».
Etape 3 : On admire le résultat :
Je chante
Tu chantes
Il/Elle/On chante
Nous chantons
Vous chantez
Ils/Elles chantent
